2007-2015
What have you been doing with your life since graduating from Youth2Youth?
I’m working and going to school, but that doesn’t stop me from continuing to teach those around me about the dangers of tobacco and how it can harm them and those around them.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of how much Youth2Youth has changed me in a positive way and helped me grow as an individual.
How have skills you learned in Youth2Youth helped you in your life beyond Youth2Youth?
Most of the skills I learned in Youth2Youth were speech and communication skills that have helped me when talking to people at work, talking to customers, and helped me to become a leader. A lot of people enjoy speaking with me and even ask me to speak at events.
What advice would you like to give to today’s youth?
Some advice I would give today’s, tomorrow’s, and yesterday’s Youth2Youth members would be not to wait for someone else to save the world or think that you can’t because you’re just one person. It doesn’t take many people to accomplish that job. It only takes one person to guide others, help others, and help people grow. Look at Debbie Fischer as an example, she is a mother, a friend, a guide, and also a hero. As a leader she didn’t just tell people what to do, but rather she worked with people to guide them and make sure everyone around her became just as good and rich and full of skills.
Just remember, tomorrow is not promised, so what will you do for you to be remembered by?
